Indicated below are the types of Electronic Fund Transfers WESLA is capable of handling, some of which may not apply to your account.

The following Is a Summary of the Official Document

  • Preauthorized Credits: You may arrange for certain Direct Deposits to be accepted into your Share Draft or Share Savings Account(s)

  • Preauthorized Payments: You may make arrangements to pay certain recurring bills from your Share Draft or Share Savings Account(s)

  • Electronic check or draft conversion: Types of transfers -Your check or draft can result in an electronic funds transfer. This can happen in several ways. For example:

    • TouchTone Teller Telephone Transfers

  • You may access your account by telephone, 24 hours a day at (318) 626-6103 or (800) 828-6647 using your personal identification number, a touch-tone phone, your member number, and your service code


Online Bill Pay

Online Bill Pay can help you manage your bills without worrying about paper bills and checks.

If you need to issue a payment to someone who cannot accept electronic payment (such as a local merchant, friend, or relative), a check will be produced that will look like your checks except with a check number greater than 10,000.

What is Mobile Banking?

Mobile Banking allows you to access your credit union accounts securely from your smartphone or tablet—anytime, anywhere. You can check balances, transfer funds, deposit checks, and more.

How do I enroll in Mobile Banking?

Download our free Mobile App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, then log in using your Online Banking credentials. If you’re not enrolled in Online Banking yet, visit our website or contact us to get started.

Is there a fee to use Mobile Banking?

Nope! Our Mobile Banking App is a free service for all members. Just keep in mind your mobile carrier’s data charges may apply.

What can I do in the Mobile Banking app?

  • Check your account balances

  • View recent transactions

  • Transfer funds between accounts

  • Deposit checks with Mobile Deposit

  • Pay bills and schedule payments

  • Locate nearby ATMs and branches

  • Set up alerts and manage your card

How do I deposit a check with my phone?

Tap “Mobile Deposit” in the app, snap a clear photo of the front and back of your endorsed check, enter the amount, and submit. You’ll receive a confirmation once it’s received!

Is Mobile Banking secure?

Absolutely. Our app uses advanced encryption, multi-factor authentication, and secure login features to keep your financial information safe.

What should I do if I forget my password?

Just tap “Forgot Password?” on the app login screen and follow the prompts to reset it. You can also call us or visit a branch for assistance.

Can I access all my accounts through the app?

Yes! You’ll be able to view and manage all accounts linked to your membership, including savings, checking, loans, and credit cards.

What if I lose my phone?

No worries - your account can’t be accessed without your login credentials or biometric security. You can also call us to temporarily disable mobile access until your phone is recovered.

Dormant Accounts

Dormant Account Policy

A member's Main Share Account shall be considered dormant if no activity has taken place on it for 1 year. For example, if the Share Draft/Checking Account is utilized but no transactions take place on the Main Share Account, the account is considered inactive.

Notice

If your account has not been used for 12 months, we will send you a notice via first-class mail to the address we have on record. We will encourage you to activate or close your account, or you will incur the dormant account fee.

Fees

The dormant account fee is $10 PER MONTH for as long as there is no activity on the account after the dormancy notice has been provided. The fee may be adjusted by the WESLA FCU Board of Directors.

Escheatment to The State

If the account remains dormant after 5 years, the funds will be escheated to the State of Louisiana.
